There’s a tram line which runs from just outside the campsite to Oostende centre. It’s quick, clean and cheap.
The centre is quite small with one main street with shops on it and a number of side streets with shops, restaurants and the.like.
A large marina is situated at the edge of the central area, the sun was glinting on it when I walked by. The wind, however, was very chilly and despite wrapping up warm, curtailed my visit to the centre.
Took the tram back and had the misfortune to sit opposite a nutter. He kept gabbling to himself in Dutch and going on about Blackadder every time he looked at me.
It’s 8.30 here now so doing the last bits of washing and packing before leaving for home in the morning.
I’ve enjoyed my trip, Nideggen in Germany was superb, and Oostende and Bredene will warrant a return visit (at a warmer time of year!)
